Must have 3-5 years experience as a technical newscast director for a television station. Must be able to call and punch a fast paced show with lots of changes. Experience on Kahuna switcher is a plus. Must be a team player as person must work closely with producers, camera crew, editors and other news staff. Should be available to work flexible hours, including holidays.

Assists in production of nightly sportscasts. Must have strong editorial judgment. Editing skills are a must. Must have a minimum of one (1) year news editing experience and solid sports knowledge. Working knowledge of the Sony ½ inch editing machine is a must. AVID experience helpful but not required.

Responsible for the operation of the Broward News Bureau. Oversees staff, develops news stories and is responsible for all news coverage in the Broward and Palm Beach areas. Must be able to make managerial editorial decisions on news coverage, have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and have the ability to work well with others. Must be proficient in Windows XP. A minimum of five (5) years previous news television assignment desk experience required.

Solid background in Television systems, transmissions and satellite communications. Candidate will have to do system design with CAD. Must have advanced knowledge in video production, IT infrastructure and station automation.

Assists the Assignment Editor on the desk. Monitors police and fire scanners. Gathers information from police and fire agencies and assists reporters with setting up stories for major market television station. Dispatches news crews to stories. Must have excellent communication skills, work in a fast faced environment and have the ability to work well with others. A must to have proficiency in news writing. Some TV experience required. Must be proficient in Windows XP.

Must have knowledge of electronics and be mechanically inclined. Previous TV ENG experience preferred. Knowledge of microwave and RF are a plus. Must be proficient in Windows XP. Valid Class D Driver license with a clear record required.

Successful candidate would accurately execute electronic graphic information during fast paced live news and special programming. Responsibilities would include ordering graphics and working in post production suites to generate Chyron text and animations for news pre-pro and on-air promotion spots. Thunder graphics system experience helpful but not required. Minimum of one (1) year Chyron experience or two (2) years television production experience is preferred. Television graphics, animation and production majors are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of Windows XP required.
511-131: CREATIVE SERVICES COORDINATOR (P/T) 05/20/11 AS-SD
Looking for a highly motivated professional with strong organizational skills to serve as the assistant to the Vice President of Creative Services. Individual will also handle all aspects of on-air promotion scheduling. From the strategic placement of promotion spots in key day parts, daily data entry, making necessary adjustments to promotion logs, and working closely with promotion producers to meet important deadlines for promo placement. Individual will also have the opportunity to produce on-air promos. The position will also maintain department files, process vendor invoices and order office supplies. A college degree is preferred. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Creative Services.
