Student involved in sexual activity with teacher takes the stand
MIAMI (WSVN) -- The 16-year-old student who says had sex with a former math teacher and assistant coach took the witness stand in court to talk about the alleged affair.
Police charged Julio Polo with lewd and lascivious battery and unlawful sexual activity with a minors after engaging in consensual intercourse with a student on school property, in a car and at a Miami area motel, while he taught class at John Ferguson Senior High School.
The teenage victim took the stand and described the first encounter between her and Polo. "I remembered that day, the first day, that Mr. Polo and I had that encounter was sometime early in February, and I believe it was the 1st [of the month] Tuesday."
Polo did not take the stand, and the trial continues.
